fun facts friday

June 6, 2014

1. First Friday of summer break – woot woot! I’ve been counting down the days until I could stay home with my girls for a few months, and it is finally here. #cueexcitement

2. Anyone want to suggest some summer reading material? I just finished After You, and it was one of the best books I’ve read in quite some time. I’m excited to read the rest of that author’s material.

3. The blisters on my feet tell me I was quite a walker/runner yesterday. I went on a 3 mile run, then the girls and I went on a 2 mile walk, and after they went to bed I took poor Charlie on a 2 mile walk. Why did I think wearing flip flops for the two walks was a good idea? Never again…

4. Emerson has become quite the climber. She has been trying to stand and scale just about anything lately – which means I am always right behind her because she fails to understand that if she lets go, she will fall.

5. Speaking of Emme, look at this side by side of her and my mom as a baby. Holy resemblance!!!!

6. And just because I can’t leave my Brooklyn out… the two of us went to the grocery store the other day (she wouldn’t take her nap), and holy cow was running errands with one baby a walk in the park!!

7. I finally went out and got some flowers for our pots outside. Now the real test begins – I am bound to kill them over the summer.

8. I cannot wait until my massage appointment next Wednesday. It is long overdue!

9. With that, I’m out of here! Happy Weekend!

I always recommend the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Also, Starz is making it into a miniseries starting in August! It’s a fabulous series.

Thanks! I love series - especially series where all the books are already out. I can’t get into series until that happens!

Sarah June 6, 2014 at 10:50 am

Well, 7 books are out and the 8th comes out this month. There will be at least one more but it’ll be a few years before that one so you’d have plenty of time to catch up. :)

Your girls are so adorable! Those eyes. Wow! It’s funny how I take shopping with one for granted. I can’t imagine doing it with two! Although, my son talks enough for two kids right now. He NEVER stops!

bahaha! That’s going to be my Chatterbox Emerson when she learns to talk! She talks enough for the both of them!

I read it in 48 hours. It was so good!

Those are some good miles! And, I totally think I take having one child to lug around for granted sometimes - I’m sorry! It must have been nice to get out with just the one! I love the big basket you have for all the toys. I have this box, but it’s pretty deep so Nia makes grunting noises when she tries to reach for something in the very bottom of it! haha

Reply

cleaneatingchelsey June 6, 2014 at 10:35 am

haha I love it! The only bad thing about the basket is that it falls over easily. I need something bottom heavy!

You have 2 of the cutest little girls! Brooklyn’s eyes - oh my!! I’m officially on summer break too. Isn’t it glorious?! Let me know if you figure out the trick to keep your flowers alive, I seem to have the worst luck (or I just forget to water them). Enjoy your weekend!

I always get the worst blisters! Especially on days where I plan to be on my feet for extended periods of time - I feel your pain. And those girls and their smiles, tug at my heart strings why don’t ya!

I know exactly what you mean when you say one baby is so much easier. It’s crazy how much of a difference one little baby makes. :)
